Join Heritage Malta for a creative morning where tradition meets imagination! Weave it Your Way: Stories in Thread invites children aged 8 and above to discover Malta’s rich textile heritage through a fun and hands-on weaving workshop at the historic Inquisitor’s Palace in Birgu.
Using mini cardboard looms and colourful strips of recycled fabric, young participants will design and weave their own unique textile pieces. Along the way, they’ll explore the stories behind traditional garments like the għonnella, and uncover how Maltese craftsmanship has long embraced both symbolism and sustainability.
From pattern-making to personal expression, this workshop encourages children to blend old-world inspiration with modern creativity—one thread at a time.
